GENERAL PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to communicate the Harmons story through the platforms our customers are already on, in a voice that feels as warm and local as the stores themselves. This role owns Harmons' organic social media presence: developing strategy, creating and scheduling content, managing the influencer program, and staying connected to what our customers are saying and sharing about us online. This position will work closely with the Marketing Campaign Coordinator to ensure social content aligns with the campaign calendar, and with the Creative team to bring each post to life visually. You're part strategist, part storyteller, and part community builder. You understand that great social content starts with a genuine love for food and the people who love it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage Harmons' organic social media strategy across all platforms, working from the campaign calendar and direction set by the VP of marketing
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content that showcases Harmons' personality, supports sales and marketing goals, and maintains a consistent brand voice across every platform
Manage the social media editorial calendar; coordinate asset requests with the Creative team through the Marketing Project Manager
Write compelling copy that reflects the Harmons voice and resonates with each platform's format and audience
Manage the Harmons influencer program — identifying partners, coordinating content creation, and measuring results against campaign goals
Monitor and respond to customer comments, questions, and feedback across social channels in a timely, on-brand, and helpful way
Export and compile monthly Sprout Social performance reports, track organic social metrics, and surface content insights and recommendations on a monthly basis
Collaborate with the sales and store teams to create content that supports store-level priorities and reflects what's actually happening in our communities
Partner with the Ecomm team to ensure social content supports digital channel activity, including product features and seasonal promotions
Stay current on platform algorithm changes, emerging formats, and social media trends to keep Harmons' presence fresh and effective
Champion the Harmons brand voice and visual identity across every social touchpoint; understand that associates are our first and most important audience
Communicates openly and frequently with the VP of Marketing, Sales Directors, and Store Directors
Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
Sets a professional and positive example to others, and promotes positive change within the company
Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
Assists as needed to ensure the success of the company as a whole
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned .
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:
Consistent and daily interaction with associates
Consistent and daily interaction with Marketing team, Sales team, and store leadership
Consistent and daily interaction with influencer and vendor partners
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
2–3 years of social media management experience, preferably in retail, food, or consumer brands
Deep knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) including their respective algorithms, content formats, and audience behaviors
A genuine passion for food, local community, and visual storytelling
Experience with Sprout Social or a comparable social media management and analytics tool
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice, tone, and format across platforms while staying unmistakably Harmons
Experience with photo and video capture and basic editing (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent)
Experience managing an influencer program or creator partnerships
Ability to manage a content calendar and keep multiple campaigns moving simultaneously
Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission‑driven, and be self‑directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission
Commitment to working collaboratively in a supportive team environment
Ability to interpret policies and procedures
Excellent organization and planning skills
Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with diverse groups of people
