Job Description

The New York Post Video team is seeking an on‑call part‑time Video Editor (various shifts, as needed) to help create compelling, shareable videos. The role will work with original footage, stock clips and social media content to produce digital‑platform videos.
Responsibilities

Edit videos for digital platforms using original footage, stock footage, and social media content.
Work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
Research and write short, compelling headlines, video descriptions, and short‑form scripts.
Stay knowledgeable in national news, trends, and tabloid fare.
Qualifications

3–5 years experience editing short‑form video for digital outlets.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere.
Ability to color‑correct and mix audio.
Experience with multicam editing and working with or without producers.
Select and use music that matches story tone and style.
Track record of producing digital video in fast‑paced newsroom environments with tight deadlines.
Awareness of current events across a broad range of topics.
Organized, team‑player, and capable of daily deadlines.
Motion graphics and simple animation experience is a plus.
Knowledge of post‑production workflow is a plus.
Additional Information

Note: This role may require occasional onsite work at our Midtown, NYC location.
Now a temporary engagement facilitated through a third‑party vendor; employment and payroll are managed by the vendor.
Salary: $25–$40 per hour, based on experience.
