About This Opportunity
The Presentations Team acts as a liaison for the merchants, driving processes and leveraging analysis to ensure products are on the selling floor in the right location, at the right time. The Senior Analyst, Presentation & Initiatives plays a critical strategic and operational role in supporting high‑visibility merchandising initiatives, seasonal events, and enterprise priorities across key growth categories.
Supporting the Manager of Presentations & Initiatives, this role is responsible for standardizing core merchandising processes, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering actionable insights that enable merchant teams and leadership to focus on strategic decision‑making.
As event volume and assortment complexity increase, the Senior Analyst provides clarity, foresight, and disciplined execution through data analysis, capacity planning, and cross‑functional partnership. The role balances analytical rigor with operational awareness to ensure on‑time, compliant execution of events, cohesive assortment presentation, and alignment with long‑term merchant strategy.
The base salary range for this role is $81,000 to $105,000. The range is contingent on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. Other rewards vary by position and location.
What You Will Do And What You Will Learn
Strategic Analysis & Decision Support
Develop reporting and analysis that reflect business priorities, highlight risks and opportunities, and support leadership reviews.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that support informed decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
Capacity Planning & Readiness
Lead capacity planning and readiness analysis by evaluating unit capacity, timelines, and execution complexity across initiatives and events.
Identify execution risks, gaps, and trade‑offs proactively, providing scenario analysis and mitigation recommendations.
Own and manage key analytical projects such as queue line capacity analysis and tracking of Counter Display Units (CDUs) for Ross and dd's.
Event & Initiative Execution
Own end‑to‑end analytical support for seasonal and holiday events, ensuring on‑time, compliant delivery.
Partner closely with buyer groups to validate assortment buys against projections and strategic intent.
Assess execution risk across events and assortments, raising concerns early.
Support alignment on samples, presentation standards, and visual storytelling to ensure in‑store consistency.
Process Ownership & Standardization
Own, document, and standardize core merchandising and presentation processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Ensure data integrity across reports, trackers, and tools used in event planning and execution.
Continuously evaluate and improve tools, workflows, and reporting methodologies to support evolving business needs.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Collaborate closely with Merchants, Store Operations, Planning, and other cross‑functional partners.
Ensure alignment between merchant strategy and store‑level execution through disciplined analysis and communication.
What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
4-6 years retail or consumer product experience
Store/Merchant knowledge a plus
Must be able to act independently, multi‑task and manage multiple projects and priorities
Skilled at navigating through the Ross organization: knows how to get things done and through whom
Must be a strong team player, have entrepreneurial drive & be highly organized
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Advanced computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
