REQ-41761This Social Media Producer position leads the transition from broadcast focused newsrooms to multi-platform newsrooms through active daily example; creating/editing original content beyond that which is produced for on-air.Job Description:* Expert understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and other social media platforms* Uses our social media and website to build and reinforce brand recognition* Collaborates with reporters on story construction and publication* Shoots and edits content for digital* Finds new ways to engage viewers through social media* Reviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines* Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience, or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social, or other functions* Pitches on-brand local and trending stories* Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality* Builds and calendars digital campaigns to promote local shows and specials* Performs other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:* Social media reel* Experience/education in journalism* Proficiency in Premier Pro, Photoshop, Canva, Capcut, Dreamweaver, and Basic HTML preferred* Highly motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines* Maintains positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments* Responds positively to feedbackEEO Statement:
