Deductions & Promotions Analyst

LHH is partnering with a Consumer Product Manufacturing/Wholesale company on a temp-to-hire Deductions & Promotions Analyst opportunity. This role offers a hybrid schedule based out of their New York City office and provides the chance to join a growing, collaborative finance team. Responsibilities:

Review and validate customer deductions and promotional claims, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon terms and supporting documentation
Maintain accurate records related to trade spend, pricing programs, and customer allowances
Prepare and post month-end journal entries tied to promotional activity to support the close process
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies by partnering with cross-functional teams to reconcile customer balances
Work closely with Accounting and Sales to ensure deductions are accurately recorded, applied, and resolved in a timely manner
Support high-volume deduction activity across key customer accounts
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounts Receivable, or Deductions
Previous experience in a Consumer Product company highly preferred
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables/vlookups
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred
Schedule:

3 days in office, 2 days remote in Midtown, Manhattan
Hours:

9 - 5 PM, can work up to 40 hours per week
