Trade Spend & Deduction Management Analyst
Partnered with a client services organization seeking a Trade Spend & Deduction Management Analyst to support sales performance and financial accuracy for key national clients. This role plays a critical part in managing trade spend forecasting, trade event execution, and deduction resolution by ensuring planned promotions and shipments are accurately reflected, tracked, and reconciled.
Location: Wayne, PA or Morristown, NJ
Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour
Work Schedule: Hybrid - in office Tuesday-Thursday (3 days/week), remaining days remote
Travel: Minimal, as needed
Key Responsibilities
Trade Spend & Forecast Management
Maintain accurate shipment forecasts and trade spend data within the client's Trade Investment Management (TIM) system
Translate forecasted volume and trade event data from internal systems into the client's platform
Ensure all planned trade events are properly set up, tracked, and maintained
Deduction Management & Reconciliation
Review trade deductions and correctly allocate them by customer, event, and category within the TIM system
Reconcile actual trade spend against client financial reporting to ensure accuracy and alignmentInvestigate unplanned, invalid, or unsupported deductions and document findings
Partner with sales teams to research, resolve, and clear deductions at key customers
Serve as a primary point of contact for deduction-related questions and issue resolution
Cross‑Functional & Client Support
Collaborate with internal teams and client contacts to resolve deduction discrepancies efficiently
Retrieve and manage trade documentation from client systems and shared drives
Upload and organize supporting documentation within internal document management systems
Communicate deduction status, trends, and issues clearly to internal stakeholders

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade spend, deduction management, collections, accounting, or related financial roles
Strong Excel proficiency; experience with reconciliations and reporting
Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external partners
Ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel skills; PowerPoint proficiency preferred
Experience with Trade Investment Management (TIM) systems or similar platforms strongly preferred
Comfort working across multiple systems and client portals
