Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding
Location: New York / New Jersey (Hybrid/Field-Based)

Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 + Commission + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

Identify, target, and win new business within key verticals

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for your territory

Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and key decision-makers

Actively sell a full suite of services including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Ground Transportation, and Customs Brokerage solutions

Present tailored, end-to-end supply chain solutions based on customer needs

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing

Collaborate with operations and pricing teams to ensure competitive and efficient service delivery

Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and activity reporting via CRM

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding / logistics

Proven track record of winning new business (hunter mentality essential)

Strong understanding of international freight (air and/or ocean preferred)

Experience selling multimodal solutions and value-added services is highly desirable

Established network within the NY/NJ market is advantageous

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
