Responsibilities
Coordinate CRE outreach and communications efforts, including written and graphic communications, outreach and information sessions, and general advising.
Supervise an Editing, Writing, and Media intern and serve as the CRE liaison for the HSF Undergraduate Research Society; coordinate annual events such as Fall and Summer Research Days, Nourishing Creativity at the Undergraduate Research Symposium, the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference, and the biannual Florida Undergraduate Research Posters at the Capitol.
Develop and coordinate CRE’s newsletter, social media, and outreach campaigns (digital, printed, and video media) to promote the office and its programs with students, faculty, and alumni.
Review and approved CRE or related program publications or articles within CRE and in collaboration with University Communications, managing campus-wide announcements.
Create and maintain alumni tracking, networking, and engagement opportunities.
Assist in selecting and supervising intern staff to support the goal and mission of the office.
Administer CRE operational activities, including organizing key events and other required activities.
Serve as the main advisor for students interested in research, creative, global, innovation, and entrepreneurial work; conduct info sessions, workshops, and trainings.
Collaborate interdepartmentally and externally to support efforts such as the HSF Undergraduate Research Society and other HSF and UGS initiatives; maintain partnerships with Undergraduate Studies, Honors, CARE, and other campus partners and liaisons.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years’ experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services, or a combination of post–high‑school education and experience equal to eight years.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, supervisors, and interdepartmental personnel.
Ability to interpret and explain policies to students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Attention to detail and the highest standard of integrity are imperative.
Excellent computer, creative problem‑solving, written, and communication skills are essential.
Calm and confident interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.
Proven ability to professionally maintain organizational social media platforms and ensure consistent communication, engagement, and public‑facing content standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Event planning experience.
Experience supervising small groups, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring efficient day‑to‑day workflow.
Anticipated Salary Range
$50,000, commensurate with education and experience.
Considerations
This is an A&P position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
