GE HealthCare is accelerating its digital transformation as software and integrated solutions become a larger part of how we deliver care. Within the Science & Technology Organization, we are building a strategic team focused on bringing clarity and consistency to how value is defined, priced, and scaled across this growing global portfolio. The Director, Value Creation, Pricing & Commercial Change plays a central role in shaping how value is articulated, monetized, and measured—early in product development and throughout planning and execution—so teams can move faster with confidence and less rework as complexity grows across our business segments. This role is highly cross‑functional and hands‑on, working closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams. It is well suited for someone who enjoys combining analytics, judgment, and collaboration to build enterprise capabilities that last. This role is being created at a pivotal moment as GE HealthCare accelerates software, AI, and integrated solutions—offering a rare opportunity to shape how value is defined and scaled across the enterprise.
Success in the First Year
In the first year, success in this role looks like clear progress and visible impact. You’ll have partnered early with Product and Technology teams on priority offerings, shaping how value, pricing, and success measures are defined in the product design lifecycle. Clear, customer‑centric value and pricing approaches will be in use for key products and will appear consistently in business cases, planning discussions, and operating reviews. Finance, Commercial, and Product leaders will be aligned on shared value logic, leading to fewer late‑stage pricing debates and faster decisions. Practical standard work—value models, pricing logic, and decision templates—will have been created and adopted across Segments and Regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Value and Pricing Design – Design customer‑centric value models and establish repeatable, enterprise‑level approaches that link how customers use our software and integrated solutions to pricing, packaging, and clear business value.
- Product and Planning Integration – Partner with Product and Technology teams early in the product design process (PRD) to shape value hypotheses, monetization approaches, and clear success measures such as adoption, usage, revenue impact, renewals, and scalability before products are finalized. Collaborate with Finance and Segment leaders to build business cases that hold up in global product planning, long‑term strategic planning, and operating reviews.
- Analytics and Decision Support – Use data, economics, and modeling to pressure‑test assumptions, compare trade‑offs, and support better decisions. Define clear metrics and decision signals that improve consistency and reduce late‑stage debate, without owning reporting or analytics operations.
- Change Leadership and Enablement – Work side‑by‑side with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial teams in live decisions to co‑build value and pricing approaches. Codify outputs into standard work—models, templates, decision guides, and metrics—that teams across Segments and Regions can apply consistently.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, product finance, strategy, or related roles within software, SaaS, or other technology‑enabled businesses.
- Proven experience designing value and pricing approaches that scale across multiple products, customer segments, or geographies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and economic analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to move comfortably between deep analytical detail and broader strategic context, and connect the two in decision‑making.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with Product, Technology, Finance, and Commercial teams in complex, fast‑moving environments.
- Clear and persuasive communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and align teams without formal authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries, where compliance, trust, and long‑term customer relationships matter.
- Familiarity with AI‑enabled products or business models, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply those concepts to value, pricing, and commercialization decisions.
- Comfort working with large and complex data sets, market research, and financial models to inform business decisions.
- Experience using or partnering closely with teams that use tools such as SQL, Power BI, advanced Excel, or similar analytics platforms (hands‑on expertise welcome but not required).
- Ability to manage multiple high‑impact priorities in parallel, balancing near‑term decisions with longer‑term capability building.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, transformative situations, with the ability to pioneer new approaches where precedent is limited.
