Motion Designer (Contract)

The Creative Center serves as an in-house agency, producing communications for clients, prospects, and internal audiences across digital experiences. This role focuses on motion-driven storytelling, animation, and digital product experiences, combining creative concept development with hands-on execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver motion assets across digital experiences, including product animations, video content, data visualizations, UI transitions, and interaction states.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging visual narratives through animation and motion design.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, creative teams, and developers to integrate motion into product and marketing experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent, scalable motion language that balances brand expression, usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Create and refine supporting visual assets, including illustrations, compositing, and light design work.
  • Ensure adherence to and evolution of brand standards across digital channels.
  • Present creative work, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and contribute to a collaborative creative environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, animation, and concept-driven storytelling.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing motion work across digital products, brand experiences, and interactive media.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience using Figma and Lottie (or similar tools) for product integration and developer handoff.
  • Strong understanding of UX motion principles, including transitions, hierarchy, and user feedback.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, including reduced-motion considerations, and performance optimization.
  • Experience partnering with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
