UX Graphics Designer

CompoSecure · Somerset, NJ, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

The UX Graphics Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered experiences. This role bridges the gap between customer vision and production reality - translating complex business needs and user insights into elegant, functional designs. The ideal candidate combines a strong foundation in UX methodology with an understanding of card manufacturing processes and the ability to communicate visually and persuasively with both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage directly with external customers who have limited design concepts or no established vision, guiding them through the design process to realize their goals for card products intended for the marketplace.
Translate customer briefs, brand guidelines, and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design intent clearly.
Facilitate collaborative design sessions using whiteboarding, journey mapping, and co-design techniques to build customer alignment and buy-in.
Prepare and review production-ready design files, including preflight checks, color correction, proof generation, and application to pre-set templates.
Ensure accuracy and quality of all design files handed off for production, adhering to prepress procedures for digital and non-digital printing workflows.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, print production teams, and clients to ensure design solutions are technically feasible and aligned with brand standards.
Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and UX standards to ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
Utilize AI-assisted design tools to accelerate iteration and prototyping while maintaining a human-centered focus throughout the design process.
Other Important Responsibilities
Timely corrective action response and resolution to relevant project situations.
Engage and support companywide Safety and Housekeeping Programs.
Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned.
