What does a Senior Motion Graphic Production Artist do at WPP Production?
Role summary
We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Motion Graphic Production Artist with expertise in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interactive space and its production requirements, and will bring project management skills, organization, leadership, and an eye for detail.
Key responsibilities
Produce and post‑produce animations using internal proprietary processes and tools as well as industry‑standard methods and tools
Collaborate closely with Motion Graphic Production Team Leads, Interactive Developers, and Design, Video and Software teams
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring production deadlines are met and accurate file handoffs for localization occur
Create streamlined, organized files anticipating production pipeline constraints, technical limitations, and a tight localization schedule
Review final deliverables to ensure all work meets client quality standards for video and animation deliverables
Provide production solutions through testing, research, and prototyping
Coordinate training of newer team members with the support of Team Leads and Production Manager
Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process, design, file format, and technical improvement
Requirements
7+ years of experience with Adobe After Effects
After Effects compositing and animation experience; scripting and expressions a plus
Experience with Nuke and Maya to After Effects workflow or a related understanding
Solid understanding of basic 3D principles and pipeline
Expertise in Photoshop, including smart objects, resolution, and file export options
Illustrator knowledge for vector‑based animations
Standards‑based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledge
Experience with batch production, Adobe scripting, JavaScript, and Mac‑based scripting preferred
Experience setting up and using a render farm preferred
Highly detail‑oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
Thrives in a challenging, fast‑paced web publishing environment
Self‑motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
Establishes rapport and collaborates easily
Adheres to a consistent graphic production and checking process while identifying opportunities for improvement
Problem solver with experience troubleshooting technical challenges
Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results‑oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
This is a Contract role
Pay rate range: $68‑$76
