TITLE:
Public Relations Specialist
REPORTS TO:
Office of the Superintendent
TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and/or advanced degree
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Communication Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret information relevant to the position, including being able to speak effectively to small and large groups of people, and to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Leadership Ability: Must be able to articulate a vision and mission for the district and provide the appropriate direction, guidance, and management skills to achieve them.
Mathematics Skills: Must have the ability to work with basic mathematical and computational concepts.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Technology Skills: Able to effectively use, as it applies to your specific job function, typical office applications and computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations; must be able to use email.

JOB GOAL
To provide updates to the Zanesville community about our students, staff, and programs in a
clear, timely, and accurate manner. To work alongside district leadership and communicate both internally and externally about the positive impact of Zanesville City Schools.
The goal is to tell our story through a variety of mediums that shows the benefits of receiving a quality education at Zanesville City Schools.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Post and organize day-to-day website requests. (i.e board agendas, page
updates, menus, schedules, etc.)
Co-plan and post content created for district on social pages, ParentSquare,
and website.
General social media management (i.e daily posting, monitoring and
responding comments/concerns from the public, sharing related content)
Track web and social analytics.
Monitor ADA compliance needs for website.
Press release creation and distribution.
District building video board sign creation and management
Content creation assistance
Video board management during sporting events (football/volleyball/soccer/basketball)
