Technical Partner Growth team plays a critical role in driving long‑term growth through strategic partnerships across Global Distribution, Regional Distribution, Wholesale, and Promotional channels. This team takes a holistic, data‑driven approach to evaluating partnerships and optimizing performance to achieve key business and financial outcomes.
The
Sr. Technical Business Development Manager, Partner Growth
will lead performance evaluations, financial modeling, and growth analyses across regional and global partners. This role requires curiosity, eagerness to learn and cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Technology, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and regional business teams.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Technical Partner Growth, the
Sr. Technical Business Development Manager, Partner Growth
will lead strategic performance assessments and valuation of growth initiatives across regional distribution partners, evaluating acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention metrics. You will own and develop advanced financial models to assess
new and existing partnership opportunities , including renewals and emerging business models, while analyzing incrementality, cannibalization, and overall performance to identify actionable growth opportunities.
In this role, you will use
data, insights, and financial modeling
to quantitatively evaluate and make recommendations on opportunities to drive subscriber growth, engagement, and retention, translating complex data into clear, executive‑ready recommendations.
This role requires a strong understanding of the
Pay TV, Telco, Wireless, Music, Commerce and OTT landscape , financial modeling skills, and the ability to communicate financial and performance insights effectively at the executive level.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end analyses from inception through final recommendations and partner cross‑functionally to ensure those recommendations are effectively socialized, actioned, and executed. Develop, oversee, and maintain advanced financial models for partner opportunities (including potential new partners, new business models, new verticals, existing partner deal renewals, etc.).
Conduct in‑depth analyses to evaluate incrementality, cannibalization, and overall partner impact, partnering closely with data teams to understand methodologies, contribute to roadmap planning, and ensure accurate interpretation of insights.
Drive strategic analyses on key business questions, including subscriber growth, engagement trends, churn dynamics, and product capabilities, while identifying cross‑partner opportunities and growth initiatives.
Translate complex data and financial insights into clear, compelling, and executive‑ready presentations, effectively communicating recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to optimize and expand partnerships, including scaling into new subscriber segments, offerings, or distribution channels, and regularly socialize long‑term partner strategies.
Drive cross‑functional alignment across Product, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Distribution teams to support execution of key initiatives and ensure business impact.
Required Qualifications & Skills
7+ years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, Strategy, Finance, Investment Banking, or Partner Growth.
Advanced skills in:
Financial modeling
Data analysis
Strategic problem solving
Experience translating complex analyses and financial models into clear business insights and executive narratives.
Proficiency with data and reporting tools such as Tableau and Looker.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and strategic projects.
High level of ownership, curiosity, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance analysis and efficiency.
Demonstrate strong curiosity by proactively identifying data trends and anomalies, translating them into deep‑diving analyses that uncover actionable insights across regions, products, and partner ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in media, entertainment, streaming, or subscription‑based businesses.
Familiarity with industries such as Telco, Pay TV, Wireless, OTT, Music, or Commerce.
Experience working across global markets or multiple regions.
Proficiency with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in product, media, video streaming, or a related technical field.
Additional Information
This role is based in NYC with a hybrid schedule: in‑office Monday–Thursday and remote on Fridays.
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $135,400 to $181,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
