Commercial Manager/Lead – Specialist Subcontractor

We are recruiting on behalf of a very busy and well-established specialist subcontractor based near Grays, Essex, seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead their commercial function.
This is a key senior hire, responsible for overseeing a team of QSs and managing the commercial performance of numerous live projects, reporting to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors
Full commercial control from pre-contract to final account
Cost control, forecasting, and risk management
Contractual management and client liaison
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
Proven Commercial Manager or Senior QS (subcontractor background essential)
Strong leadership and commercial capability
Able to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure, high‑volume environment

Up to £80,000 salary
