Position Overview
RMS USA is seeking a highly organized, trend-aware, and motivated Associate Product Manager (Licensing) to support our growing inbound licensing business across multiple product categories and retail channels.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about toys, pop culture, entertainment, and consumer products who is eager to grow within the licensing and product development space. The Associate Product Manager (Licensing) will support licensed product development, approvals, line planning, trend research, and day-to-day coordination across licensors and internal teams.
This individual will work closely with Licensing, Sales, Creative, Product Development, Purchasing, and Operations teams to help bring licensed products from concept through retail execution.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and excited by the fast-paced nature of the toy and licensing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Support licensed brand portfolios across multiple product categories and retail channels
Assist with licensed product development from concept through retail execution
Coordinate product approvals, timelines, and communication between licensors and internal teams
Support day-to-day relationships with licensors and external partners
Maintain organized tracking of approvals, product development updates, timelines, and key deliverables
Research emerging trends, entertainment properties, retail activity, and consumer behavior to identify product opportunities
Assist with line planning, assortment reviews, presentations, and product strategy initiatives
Support cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Creative, Product Development, Purchasing, and Operations teams
Help ensure licensed products align with brand standards, consumer expectations, retailer needs, and RMS quality standards
Participate in trend shopping, competitive analysis, trade shows, and market research initiatives
Assist with retail presentations, promotional programs, and key customer moments
Track and organize product samples, development updates, and licensor feedback
Help identify and elevate potential challenges related to approvals, timelines, and product execution
Support reporting, presentation preparation, and category analysis as needed
Contribute creative ideas and trend insights to support product innovation and category growth
Qualifications & Experience
1–3 years of experience in consumer products, licensing, product development, merchandising, category management, or related fields preferred
Must have a passion for toys, entertainment brands, collectibles, gaming, social trends, and product innovation
Toy, hardlines, entertainment, or licensed consumer products experience preferred
Strong interest in licensing, retail trends, pop culture, and consumer products
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-management skills
Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising or a related field preferred
