Responsibilities
This is a hybrid position and must be located within 100 miles of the Mayo Clinic campus in Rochester, MN for occasional on‑site expectations based on business needs.
As a key member of the Enterprise Event Production team, you will work closely with Mayo Clinic executives and Executive Office staff within the executive suite (C‑suite) at our Rochester campus to orchestrate seamless meetings, anticipate needs, and ensure an optimal experience for Mayo Clinic’s executive leaders. A working knowledge of audiovisual production equipment is essential to be successful in this role.
This position will also support unit operations, including project intake, billing and invoicing, budget management, vendor coordination, and related administrative processes.
Responsible for high level of administrative, logistical and technical duties in the pre‑production and production of live and scripted programs. Will be responsible for creation of highly complex video programming, such as documentary, historical, staff/employee education, patient education, executive communications, benefactor programming, news releases, long format scripted programs for staff/physician/consultant/scientist support and clinical documentation. These videos will have a very high level of quality with very high level of complexity. Works independently a majority of the time and utilizes and demonstrates organizational skills, creativity, self‑motivation, and a high degree of production skill. Must have ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously including budget development and management.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a media‑related field and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in corporate video production; or ten (10) years of relevant experience. Must have a high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior level Mayo Clinic personnel and numerous non‑Mayo professionals and benefactors. Demonstrated skills in script review, mentoring colleagues, resource management, team collaboration, and understanding of Mayo’s committee structure.
Strong familiarity with all aspects of studio and field television production, including producing and directing with significant proficiency in the use of video cameras, lighting equipment, related video production and editing. Ability to manage large video crews during major video productions. Works independently in completion of job responsibilities. Demonstrated problem‑solving and organizational skills with ability to translate ideas of medical professionals into finished high‑quality programs. Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in the complete process of program development from concept through distribution and billing.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an experienced event producer with experience supporting executive leaders and high‑profile stakeholders, demonstrating the professionalism, discretion, judgment, and composure required to operate effectively in executive and C‑suite environments. Success in this role requires the ability to anticipate needs, manage complex and often rapidly changing priorities, and provide seamless experiences for senior leaders.
Authorization to work and remain in the United States
Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorships now or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F‑1 STEM OPT extension program.
