Account Manager - Inside Sales
About the Role
We are seeking a customer-focused
Account Manager - Inside Sales
to manage customer accounts, process orders, coordinate shipments, and support business growth within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, production, shipping, quality, accounting, and outside sales teams to ensure exceptional service and on-time delivery. This is a on-site job.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer inquiries, orders, and account-related requests.
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers and territories.
Follow up on sales leads and identify opportunities for additional business.
Process purchase orders and maintain accurate order records.
Coordinate with production scheduling to meet customer delivery requirements.
Plan shipments and communicate shipping instructions to internal departments.
Provide customers with shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and material certifications.
Review customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to implement corrective actions.
Monitor inventory levels, manage order adjustments, and maintain material inventory records.
Review open orders, transfer orders, and historical order activity to ensure accuracy.
Support outside sales and accounting teams with pricing, invoicing, and customer-related issues.
Maintain accurate product specifications and documentation.
Perform additional administrative and customer support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or order management.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
