Prime Video offers customers a vast collection of movies, series, and sports—all available to watch on hundreds of compatible devices worldwide.

We seek a self‑motivated, passionate, and resourceful Software Engineer to build and guide machine learning models that improve Prime Video personalization. This role involves deep learning, generative AI, reinforcement learning, and optimization for Search systems, as well as leading cross‑team collaboration and end‑to‑end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop AI solutions for Prime Video Search systems using deep learning, generative AI, reinforcement learning, and optimization methods.

Understand the problem space, identify gaps and opportunities, and create road‑maps and plans to deliver business goals.

Lead cross‑team collaboration and work closely with engineers and product managers to deliver AI solutions end‑to‑end.

Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on in‑depth data analyses.

Communicate technical and non‑technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.

Stay up‑to‑date with advances and the latest modeling techniques in the field.

Mentor and grow junior engineers and interns.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.

1+ year of software development engineer experience.

1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

1+ year of Object‑Oriented Design experience.

Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Benefits and Compensation
Base salary ranges: USA, CA, Sunnyvale – $165,200.00 to $223,600.00 annually; USA, WA, Seattle – $143,700.00 to $194,400.00 annually.

Additional compensation may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
