We are partnering with our Oakland, CA legal client to recruit a Marketing and Proposal Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid opportunity that will start fully onsite and evolve into hybrid flexible over time. In this role, you will leverage your experience in professional services marketing and proposals to enable this team in their next phase of growth! Your primary responsibilities will focus on enabling the firm's business development efforts, with a significant focus on writing, editing and curating proposals, RFP responses and new business presentations. You will collaborate closely with business development leaders and attorney team members to present the firm, team and capabilities in a winning format aligned with RFP requirements. Aside from winning new business, you will also support integrated brand growth initiatives for the firm, including curating digital campaigns, website content, social media posts and more, and should be skilled in writing, editing and light design work using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite. To be a fit, you should bring 2+ years of relevant marketing, proposal curation and/or business development experience in the professional services industry, with legal experience a very strong preference. Dedicate proposal and RFP response experience is required.


This is an opportunity with a growing, mid-sized firm with a long history of service in California! They are big enough to provide ample resources for success, but small enough that you will have the ability to make a quick impact. This is a NEW role for the team open due to growth, and will be a permanent, salaried position, with compensation ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually based on relevant experience. You will:

  • Leverage your experience in professional services marketing and proposals to enable this team in their next phase of growth, focused on writing, editing and curating proposals and RFP responses
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, business development and attorney teams to curate proposal, website and campaign content aligned with firm goals and project requirements
  • Aid in planning and managing the firm's content calendar, planning campaigns, events and projects to maximize visibility and opportunity
  • Own the firm's internal communications, writing, editing and dispersing firm-wide communications
  • Support other integrated marketing and business development enablement projects, including event planning, market research and more, as needed


Your experience should include:

  • 2+ years of professional marketing or proposal experience with dedicated experience in the professional services industry; Dedicated experience in the legal space, strongly preferred
  • In-depth experience in the proposal and RFP response process, writing, editing and curating materials to drive win rates and opportunity for the firm
  • Experience working in other integrated marketing campaigns and projects, including web content writing and management, social media campaigns, email marketing and event coordination
  • Proficiency in CRM and email tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva and WordPress, required
  • Comfort collaborating across the firm at all levels, working with attorneys, stakeholders and executives
