Role Summary: This is a full-time, in-office, Seattle-based role for an Event Manager at EXP. This is a client- and account-heavy role focused on long-term relationship ownership, client retention, and account expansion.


As an Event Manager, you will fully own client accounts throughout the entire event lifecycle, serving as the primary relationship lead from initial handoff through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up while working closely with event and sales leadership to ensure event execution and continued growth.


In this role, you will be responsible for driving and expanding existing client relationships within your assigned accounts, identifying opportunities for additional engagements, and maintaining a high level of service across all touchpoints. You will also support the sales team as needed with proposal development, scoping, and sales collateral, while maintaining continuity and ownership across all phases of the client relationship.


Role Responsibilities


Event Planning & High-Level Management

  • Lead high-level planning and event management for assigned events, including venue sourcing & management, and F&B, decor, and guest logistics
  • Partner closely with a Producer and other Internal teams and departments to deliver successful outcomes
  • Support timeline development, budgets, and strategic planning conversations
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sales to execution while maintaining continuity for the client


Sales Support & Collaboration

  • Support the sales team with proposals, scoping, estimates, and sales collateral as needed
  • Participate in select sales conversations to support continuity and relationship building
  • Assist with inbound and outbound business development efforts when appropriate


Account Ownership & Client Expansion

  • Own assigned client accounts as the primary point of contact throughout the full event lifecycle
  • Build strong, trusted relationships to support client retention and long-term partnerships
  • Identify opportunities to expand accounts through additional events, services, or multi-year engagements
  • Own client communication, expectations, and overall experience


Project Management

  • Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and communication across internal teams
  • Track contracts, invoices, updates, and renewals with accuracy
  • Contribute to evolving account management and sales processes as EXP scales


Sales Support & Collaboration

  • Support the sales team with proposals, scoping, estimates, and sales collateral as needed
  • Participate in select sales conversations to support continuity and relationship building
  • Participate in industry networking and relationship-building opportunities
  • Assist with inbound and outbound business development efforts when appropriate


Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar sales or account management role within events is required, specifically event planning experience, with comfort managing high-level logistics for events ranging from 200 to 2,000+ guests
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills
  • Experience owning client relationships and expanding client relationships in previous roles
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with producers, creatives, and sales
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ideal candidates will 3+ years of experience in corporate event planning, event management, sales, or event-related fields


Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000 USD, dependent on experience
