Media Specialist/AIG Teacher

Media Specialist Duties: Maintain an up-to-date digital and print media collection. Provide training and support for instructional technology tools. Advocates and promotes reading and lifelong learning Advocates the principles of intellectual freedom and ethical behavior Planning and implementing for information access, evaluation and use Creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning Encourages the widest possible use of print and electronic resources and services - within the school library media center, throughout the school, and through remote access Leads teachers and students in the collaborative process to select and evaluate resources that address curricular needs and learning goals for the information age Provide Library Science and Technology instruction to class daily as part of a specials rotation.
