Successful SGMs influence top agents to leave their current brokerage and join Compass. Since every agent is an independent contractor, they can take their business wherever they receive the best value and support.Work directly with decision‑makers, eliminating many of the hassles of selling to large corporations.Serve as a fully onsite role and report to our Fort Worth Office.Spend a significant portion of time meeting clients and prospects in the field.Focus on high‑impact engagement at our offices and in the field; be expected in‑person in your market to maximize collaboration with local teams and agents on‑site.MetricsThis is a quota‑carrying role: your quota per quarter is measured by the amount of Gross Commission Income (GCI) you successfully bring to Compass. GCI quantifies an agent's production in the prior 12‑month period. Deal size ranges from $200k to $3M+, with an average time to close of about 30 days.You can meet quota each quarter by bringing on a number of individual agents or large agent teams. Your quota is based on the prior 12‑month performance of that agent or team, not contingent upon their future production once at Compass.You are tasked with helping agents understand how their business and clients will benefit by moving to Compass.NuancesThe sale is more humanized than average, dealing directly with decision‑makers. You need heightened empathy and the ability for quick decisions.Decoupling an agent from a long‑standing brokerage requires patience, listening, agility, and a focus to close the deal.This role demands both high IQ and high EQ, attracting a diverse, high‑performing team from fields such as investment banking, management consulting, law, and enterprise sales.Our SGMs generate conservatively 15x more revenue per head than the top tech firms in the world.QualificationsB.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience.Strong interpersonal skills and a glass‑half‑full mentality.Self‑starter with the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision.Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively lead client meetings and presentations.Highly organized; ability to multi‑task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.Track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail‑demanding functional responsibilities.CompensationThe base pay range for this position is $100,000‑$110,000 annually, with a potential bonus target of $30,000‑$60,000 and uncapped bonus potential. Pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits.
