Breaking News Reporter/Producer, Fort WorthThe person in the Breaking News role is the lead reporter for most breaking news outside of KERA's beat structure. The reporter will also occasionally work in a supporting role on stories led by beat reporters and editors across the newsroom. The role requires versatility, productivity, and resilience with an ability to write, voice, and produce quick‑turn daily stories on a variety of topics affecting all North Texans, while occasionally diving into broader general assignment reporting. A strong radio and digital reporter who can go live on the radio and produce audio for Fort Worth Report stories is essential.
