2026-2027 Video Producer - Communications

As a member of the Communications team, the video producer serves as a visual storyteller who works to develop, create and share video content which elevates the Springfield Public Schools brand and highlights the people, programs and achievements that make SPS unique. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Works in collaboration to produce video content in support of SPS marketing, inter-departmental promotional opportunities and compelling personal profiles of staff and students highlighting the district's vision and purpose. Develops concepts, writes scripts and other messaging, prepares interview questions and the spokesperson, schedules interview logistics, and serves as an onsite district liaison during production. Captures images and sounds with a DSLR camera, drone and/or other recording equipment, and performs editing of the resulting footage, which may include the visual design of a production, creating engaging videos.
