As a VDC Designer, you will play a critical role in transforming vision into proposed plans by producing accurate, coordinated construction documents that drive our projects from concept to completion.This position supports business development, project managers, superintendents, and trade partners by developing, managing, and coordinating digital models and visualizations that support preconstruction, design coordination, and field execution. This role bridges design intent and construction reality by producing accurate 3D models and renderings to improve project planning, communication, and efficiency. The VDC Designer helps maintain the quality, efficiency, and accountability that defines our Construction Management's reputation in commercial construction.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain 3D models using Revit softwareGenerate 2D drawings and construction plans for commercial projects, including but not limited to permit set plans and 3D modelsCoordinate drawings across trades (MEP, structural, civil) to avoid conflictsReview and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsEnsure drawings comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirementsMaintain organized drawing files and documentation in company systemsParticipate in project coordination meetings as neededOther duties as assignedRequirementsAdvanced proficiency in RevitCreate and manage 3D models for commercial construction projectsStrong understanding of commercial construction methods and materialsAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawingsKnowledge of building codes and permitting processesFamiliarity with MEP coordination is a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesEffective communication and collaboration skillsProblem-solving mindsetOrganizational and time management skillsEducation and ExperienceAssociate's degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field preferredExperience working with a commercial general contractor preferredThis is a full-time positionStandard hours will fall within Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with some flexibility depending on business needs.The role is office-based with occasional site visits to new projects and active projects#J-18808-Ljbffr
