Director of Sales & Marketing Location: Brookline, MA (including the greater Boston market). Lead the hotel's overall sales, marketing, revenue generation, and commercial strategy.Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share goals across all segments, including corporate, group, leisure, SMERF, university, healthcare, and local negotiated accounts.Lead proactive sales efforts through direct solicitation, outside sales calls, prospecting, networking, and client entertainment.Identify new business opportunities within Brookline, the Longwood Medical Area, university, biotech, and Boston corporate markets.Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel managers, meeting planners, and third‑party partners.Oversee group sales processes, including lead response, contract negotiations, site inspections, and account management.Conduct regular sales strategy meetings and pipeline reviews.Develop and oversee the annual marketing plan and commercial budget.Manage the hotel's digital presence, including website content, online reputation, social media strategy, and third‑party listings.Partner with brand and regional marketing teams on campaigns, promotions, and public relations initiatives.Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and demand patterns to adjust strategy accordingly.Coordinate photography, collateral materials, e‑mail marketing campaigns, and local partnerships.Ensure brand standards and messaging consistency across all channels.Collaborate with revenue management leadership to optimize pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategies.Monitor market performance metrics, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share indices.Participate in weekly revenue strategy and forecasting meetings.Utilize reporting tools and CRM platforms to evaluate sales production and business trends.Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales team members.Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on accountability and results.Establish individual and team performance goals.Support employee engagement initiatives and professional development opportunities.Represent the hotel at industry events, chamber meetings, trade shows, and networking functions.Build strategic partnerships with local businesses, universities, hospitals, and tourism organizations.Enhance the hotel's visibility within the Brookline and Boston hospitality communities.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).Minimum 5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably in a lifestyle, boutique, or full‑service hotel environment.Strong understanding of the Boston and Brookline hotel markets (preferred).Proven track record of achieving revenue goals and growing market share.Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or independent lifestyle hotel systems (preferred).Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and hotel sales software.Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.Compensation & Benefits $120,000 - $130,000 per year.Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years of experience, certifications, and specific office location.Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
