divh2JasperSoft Report Writer/h2pIDEALFORCE has a contract position available immediately for a JasperSoft Report Writer to join our customer in Phoenix, AZ. This is an onsite position. This is a 6 month contract to begin with and a good possibility for extension or go full time./ph3Job Description/h3pOur client provides a challenging and rewarding environment utilizing state of the art technologies and tools. Most of the client applications are web-based, image and workflow-enabled and support a broad range of activities for their customers./ppPrimary duties:/pulliWork with the client Scrum teams to develop JasperSoft reports for applications being developed by the Scrum teams./liliAttend Scrum Meetings including daily standup meetings, planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives./liliDevelop, test and implement JasperSoft reports./liliDevelop JasperSoft report standards./liliConvert existing Cognos reports to JasperSoft reports./liliWork with other Software Engineers in identifying and resolving JasperSoft report issues./liliWork with Project Managers to provide estimate of effort for work and progress of work./liliWork with Business Analysts and business users to understand JasperSoft report requirements./liliWork with Quality Assurance and Release Coordinator to transition changes made from development to system test and to production./liliUse incident tracking system JIRA to document changes made and progress./liliUse software version control Mercurial to track code changes./liliAttend status meetings as required./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pRequired skills:/pulliBachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent (minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology)/liliMinimum 3 years experience in developing custom reports/liliMinimum 3 years experience in JasperSoft Reports development/liliMinimum 3 years experience using Oracle databases/liliMinimum 3 years experience in writing SQL/liliMinimum 3 years experience using software development methodologies to perform analysis, design, construction and implementation of custom software/li/ulpPreferred skills:/pulliExperience using Agile methodology is a plus/liliExperience in writing Java applications is a plus/liliExperience in the Financial/Retirement sector, including administration of retirement systems and/or health insurance is a plus/liliProven ability to multi-task on concurrent projects/liliExcellent oral and written communication skills/liliParticipation in education will be considered a plus./li/ulh3Additional Information/h3pAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
