Account Director, Olympics

Join a high-performing and collaborative team supporting key agency and client partners as part of the Olympic & Paralympic Advertising & Partnerships team at NBCUniversal. You will be central to driving revenue and delivering strategic, client-first solutions across the most unique media property in the world.
As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business, developing new revenue opportunities, and serving as a key connector across NBCUniversal's portfolio. To be successful, you must have strong partnership skills, multi-platform media acumen, and the ability to translate complex opportunities into meaningful client value.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow revenue for existing business and develop new business across an assigned list of agencies, clients, and geographic territory
Lead day-to-day client and agency relationships, acting as a trusted partner, property expert, and primary point of contact
Identify and develop monetizable, insight-driven solutions that align client objectives with both Olympic & Paralympic and broader NBCUniversal portfolio offerings
Translate Olympic & Paralympic opportunitiesincluding linear, streaming, partnerships, and cross-platform integrationsinto clear, compelling client value
Collaborate cross-functionally across Agency Partnerships, Client Partnerships, Planning, Partnerships, Measurement, and Marketing
Maintain fluency in Olympic marketplace dynamics, category exclusivity considerations, and NBCUniversal portfolio priorities
Leverage data, measurement and campaign performance insights in a consultative capacity to inform client strategy and activation
Build and strengthen relationships with senior decision-makers at agencies and clients
Actively contribute to team culture via collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support of broader Olympic Sales initiatives
Basic Requirements:
5+ years of experience in multi-platform media sales or property-level Olympics & Paralympic experience
Demonstrate understanding of the media landscape, including both linear and digital media
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred
Desired Characteristics:
Works well under pressure and can manage an extraordinarily high volume of accounts
Open to travel as required and can commit to being onsite for the entirety of each Olympic Games
Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and influence senior stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data to inform strategy and drive outcomes
Ability to translate detailed information into clear, client-facing narratives and recommendations
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with experience working across teams to achieve business goals
Strong communication skills with ability to move seamlessly between internal execution and external client engagement
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Copilot, etc.)
Demonstrated curiosity, ownership mentality, and a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities

This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range:

$95,000 - $170,000 + sales incentive compensation eligible
