Key Responsibilities
Referral Development & Relationship Management
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and community referral sources
Develop and execute strategies to increase referrals and client growth
Create and cultivate strategic partnerships throughout the territory
Generate qualified referral opportunities and maintain an active referral pipeline
Track referral development activities and relationship-building efforts
Work closely with intake and operations teams to ensure successful conversion of referrals into client starts
Marketing & Community Outreach
Develop and implement community outreach initiatives
Attend networking events, healthcare functions, and community programs
Coordinate and present educational programs, Lunch & Learns, and community presentations
Promote the organization's services and reputation throughout the market
Support social media, digital marketing, and community engagement efforts when appropriate
Serve as a professional ambassador for the organization
Business Development & Growth
Identify new growth opportunities within the market
Analyze referral trends and develop strategies to increase market share
Monitor competitor activity and changing market conditions
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective referral partners
Consistently work toward referral and growth goals
Collaboration & Client Experience
Partner closely with intake, operations, and care teams
Ensure a smooth transition from referral to admission
Support exceptional client and family experiences
Maintain strong communication between referral sources and internal teams
Qualifications
Required
Experience in healthcare sales, business development, community relations, physician liaison work, or healthcare marketing
Strong relationship-building and networking skills
Proven ability to generate referrals and develop business relationships
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned market
Preferred
Home care, home health, hospice, senior living, healthcare staffing, or post-acute care experience
Existing healthcare referral relationships within the Greater Boston market
Experience with CRM systems and referral tracking
Demonstrated success achieving growth goals and business development targets
