Director, National Accounts

The main responsibility of the Director, National Accounts is to present the Glenmark portfolio to the assigned accounts and secure sales of existing and future products in order to achieve the sales goals of the company. The Director, National Accounts will manage all aspects of the account including but not limited to sales presentations, pricing requests, service level calls, etc. The Director, National Accounts will communicate by phone, email and in-person meetings as necessary to provide the best customer service possible. The Director, National Accounts is expected to understand the Generic Pharmaceutical market and provide market intelligence to Senior Management so that sound financial and strategic decisions can be made. The Director, National Accounts is expected to operate under all of Glenmarks compliance guidelines and use company funds in a prudent and ethical manner.
Overall Job Responsibilities
Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals for the U.S. market
Meet or exceed budgeted gross margin goals for the U.S. market
Maintain contacts at all major accounts in the U.S.
Review sales proposals for profitability and consistency before presentation to key customers
Implement account strategy with all Key Customers
Any additional tasks assigned by senior management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience required
Experience: Must have at least 7-10 years Sales experience; Understanding of the Pharmaceutical market landscape
Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical): Strong verbal and written communication skills; Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other PC-related applications. SAP experience preferred but not required; Must be detail oriented, organized and possess strong customer orientation

The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
