Over 85% of our families are in living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today./ppThe Scattered Site Housing Program (SSHP) provides 270 scattered site-housing units to HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients. All the units are leased in the agencys name. Sixty-seven units are dedicated for families and 203 units are for single individuals. The program has two components to assist clients succeed in housing, socials services and operations. Case management staff focusses on removing barriers to maintain medical care and achieve viral suppression by ensuring that all clients basic needs are met and that clients are connected to needed services, such as mental health and substance abuse. The operations component focuses on the housing units meeting habitability standards by working with landlords and management companies to address major repair issues and complete minor repairs, as well as identifying new units, negotiating leases and making units ready when there is a vacancy./ppWhat The Assistant Program Manager Does:/pulliUnderstand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff./liliTrain staff in program responsibilities, processes, and procedures, and ensure that all staff meets contract requirements in their daily work./liliWork with staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements./liliCoordinate and supervise all day-to-day activities of direct reporting staff./liliPeriodically observe direct reporting staff engaging with clients and/or supervisory staff./liliConduct weekly client progress reviews with staff./liliConduct periodic internal file review and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients./liliConduct weekly supervision for direct reporting staff./liliCommunicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress./liliConduct face to face home visits with clients to provide services/liliDocument all interactions with clients in the case records/liliAssist in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements./liliOrganize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff./liliConfer with the Program Manager on programmatic and operational matters./liliAttend and represent the organization at staff, funder, and external agency meetings as required./liliReview and sign time sheets./liliPrepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff./liliConduct initial intake or assessment of clients and/or clients families and periodic reassessments as needed./liliPrescreen clients over the telephone for eligibility and schedule intake appointments as needed./liliPlan, coordinate, and facilitate social/peer support events, including group facilitation for clients as needed./li/ulpMinimum Education/Experience Required:/pulliNew York State Licensed Masters Degree in Social Work (LMSW) or Mental Health Counselor and three years of applicable experience, and/or equivalent experience. (LCSW or LMHC preferred) Obtaining licensure is required within 6 months of employment./li/ulpOther Requirements:/pulliRelevant experience as described above, preferably in a mid-sized (250+ employees) organization./liliExperience working with people living with HIV/AIDS and related issues./liliFamiliarity counseling services/liliExcellent written
verbal communication./liliComputer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite./li/ulpCompensation: $79576.77 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position
program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate.
