Director of Marketing
Position: Director of Marketing Salary: Exempt/Full-time – Negotiable Location: Gaming Division Reports to: Casino GM
Responsibilities:
Work with the Casino Director of Finance to maximize the return on marketing-budgeted funds.
Work as a part of the Executive Management Team to create and execute organizational initiatives.
Develop marketing plans.
Establish marketing goals and strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
Oversee Branding, Advertising, Promotions, Player Development, and Graphics/Media departments including, but not limited to Bus Program, Star Club, Entertainment, Database.
Address and rectify audit findings related to the Marketing Department.
Develop annual marketing strategic plan and budget forecast.
Evaluate promotions and special events promptly.
Conduct market research to segment customer base effectively.
Prepare monthly marketing reports for the Gaming Division.
Ensure compliance with regulatory boards and industry standards.
Develop performance measures for Marketing Department staff.
Foster positive public and employee relations.
Collaborate with revenue-generating departments.
Evaluate outcomes and adjust Marketing Plan accordingly.
Conduct employee evaluations and set team expectations.
Attending required training and meetings.
Adhere to all workplace policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain professional appearance and reliability.
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism, or related field required.
Five (5) years of operational experience in gaming preferred, demonstrating extensive knowledge in Branding, Advertising, Promotions, Player Development, and Graphic Content Management.
Three (3) years of management experience is required, or directorial marketing level experience is preferred, including development of standard operating procedures, budget monitoring, and staff supervision.
Experience as a Director of Casino Marketing preferred, preferably in a casino with at least 800 gaming machines.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and implement duties efficiently, multitask, and handle pressure professionally.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills in managing the Marketing Department.
Compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulatory guidelines.
Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
Successful completion of Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB) and pre-employment drug screening.
Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Work Conditions:
Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing required.
Frequent use of hands for handling, feeling, reaching, and grasping.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching may be necessary.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Excellent personal hygiene is required due to working near others.
The work environment is non-smoking, with a high noise level, and dust-free.
