divh2Senior Director Of Marketing And Communications/h2pThe Senior Director of Marketing and Communications provides strategic leadership for all marketing, communications, branding, and public relations efforts of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York (ADNY), a mission driven nonprofit provider serving vulnerable individuals and families across the Archdiocese of New York. This role is responsible for elevating the organizations visibility, advancing its mission and values, supporting fundraising and service delivery goals, and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms./ppGrounded in Catholic values, the Senior Director will work closely with the CEO, development, programs, and external partners to communicate impact, inspire engagement, and strengthen the organizations reputation as a trusted provider, advocate and steward of donations./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities/ppStrategic Leadership/pulliDevelop and implement a comprehensive mission consistent marketing and communications strategy that is fully aligned with Catholic Charities organizational, service delivery and funding priorities./liliServe as a senior advisor to Catholic Charities CEO, and Board on communications strategy, reputation management, and public messaging./liliEnsure brand consistency, tone, and visual identity across all communications./li/ulpMarketing

Brand Management/pulliOversee brand positioning and storytelling that reflects Catholic Charities organizational values, the dignity of the human person, and our commitment to serving those in need./liliSupported by the Director of Marketing, oversee marketing campaigns that promote program growth, public awareness, advocacy, and fundraising initiatives./liliProvide guidance and oversight of creative development across print, digital, video, and social media platforms that ensures consistent messaging across all marketing and development efforts./li/ulpCommunications

Public Relations/pulliLead the development of a comprehensive media strategy that allows for measurable targets and objectives./liliIn collaboration with the CEO and with the support of an outside public relations consulting firm, ensure consistency in marketing communications and public relations efforts./liliLead internal and external communications, including organizational announcements, executive communications, speeches, and presentations./liliServe as point person for media relations, including press outreach, media inquiries, interviews, and crisis communications./liliDraft and review press releases, op-eds, talking points, and messaging for CEO and board members./liliWork collaboratively with the Communications team at the ADNY to ensure consistent messaging on issues related to the Archbishop and other Archdiocesan support for Catholic Charities programs and services./li/ulpDigital Strategy/pulliCollaborate with the development team to execute a specialized digital strategy utilizing SEO, social engagement and social tools, influencer relations, email newsletter engagement and social tools./liliAnalyze digital performance metrics to evaluate and optimize reach, engagement, and conversion./li/ulpFundraising

Development Support/pulliCollaborate closely with the Development team to support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, stewardship materials, and grant-related communications./liliProduce compelling impact narratives, annual reports, case statements, and donor-facing materials./li/ulpInternal Communications/pulliIn collaboration with the Catholic Charities Human Resources team, strengthen internal communications to ensure staff are informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals./liliSupport change-management initiatives with clear and timely communication./li/ulpTeam

Vendor Management/pulliLead, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing and communications team that delivers on clear and consistent performance goals and objectives./liliOversee relationships with external vendors, agencies, freelancers, and consultants./liliManage departmental budget and resources effectively./li/ulpPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work/ppThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Please note that additional night and weekend hours will be required to meet deadlines and attend events./ppWorking conditions and physical demands/ppThe demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job./pulliRemain in a stationary position at a workstation and use a computer at least 50% of the time./liliTravel for outreach, events and meetings at least 30% of the time using vehicle or public transportation, traverse city streets, ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions./liliEngage with the public in social environments./liliWork under demanding conditions such as deadlines and project challenges./li/ulpQualifications/ppEducation and/or experience required:/ppRequired/pulliBachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field./liliMinimum of 810 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with senior leadership experience./liliDemonstrated experience developing and executing organization-wide communications strategies./liliStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences./liliExperience working with media, senior executives, boards, and external stakeholders./liliCommitment to the mission and values of a Catholic nonprofit organization./li/ulpPreferred/pulliExperience in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, faith-based, or public-sector organization./liliFamiliarity with Catholic social teaching and Church-affiliated institutions./liliExperience supporting fundraising and donor communications./liliMasters degree in a related field./li/ulpSkills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:/pulliStrategic thinking and leadership/liliMission-driven storytelling/liliMedia relations and crisis communications/liliTeam development and collaboration/liliCultural sensitivity and pastoral awareness/liliAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment/li/ulpCatholic Charities and Catholic Charities Community Services is an equal opportunity employer.
