Role: Senior Web Developer (Angular Team Lead) - .NET + Angular

Location: Des Plaines, Illinois

Duration: 6 Months (CTH)

Job Summary

This individual works both independently and with other members of the Software Development team, with primary responsibility to design, develop, enhance and support components of the company Internet and Extranet sites, delivering customer-facing B2B applications. Candidates must have in-depth software development experience and experience in agile development methodologies. This developer will play key roles in the design, build, testing and launch of industry-changing applications considered critical to our overall company growth strategies, and will be chartered with working within a team that rapidly launches innovative web and decision tool products.

Responsibilities

This role is a demanding, highly dynamic and technically challenging position. A candidate must be experienced in all stages of the software development life cycle Requirements gathering, Design, Development, Construction and Implementation. Candidate must be skilled in n-tier web application development. The candidate must also have excellent people skills and be resourceful as an occasional technical team product leader. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Excellent team work skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision
• Enhancement and maintenance of existing and new web applications
• Technical Design, Coding, and Unit Test of web applications in accordance with business requirements and technical standards
• Design and Development of reusable components for enterprise level web application
• Participation in functional specifications, prototyping, and estimation for web development projects
• Participate in the development of detailed design specifications for use by the technical team
• Participation in evaluation and prototype of new technologies, coding practices or third-party technology for use in web application
• Work with business teams to clarify requirements and business needs

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
6+ years experience in IT
2+ years of hands on experience of creating enterprise level SPA applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular/ React/ Knockout/Ember)
4+ years experience of web development using .NET
3+ years experience with SQL and T-SQL
Working knowledge of enterprise level Source Control
Experience with object-oriented design and programming techniques
Possess creative problem solving skills
Understanding of large scale, multi-tier web application architecture
Experience with Scrum and Test Driven Development a plus
Experience with JIRA, Git and Bitbucket is a plus
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or applicable field
