Position Overview The Market Research Associate Director (Hybrid) serves as the main point of contact for the product’s marketing/commercial team, planning, prioritizing, managing, and executing market research initiatives within the Oncology Business Unit, focusing on the Pan‑Tumor franchise and other tumor areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities Develop and oversee execution of an assigned portion of the global market research plan with minimal supervision.
Provide leadership and strategic thinking for primary market research projects, framing critical business questions, identifying information needs, and managing the research process to deliver objective insights.
Own business challenges, propose appropriate methodologies, apply best practices, and innovate to meet objectives.
Design effective research studies using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Analyze secondary data, synthesize findings with primary research, and present compelling, actionable results.
Implement studies, manage project budgets, brief vendor partners, and oversee vendor capabilities and risk management.
Communicate insights to marketing, sales, promotion, and other commercial teams, integrating multiple data sources to present strategic options.
Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional partners (market access, commercial, advertising, forecasting, analytics functions) to support launch and post‑launch activities.
Support the forecasting team by analyzing data to inform brand forecast assumptions and performance dashboards.
Lead ad‑hoc franchise‑wide research initiatives as needed.
Position Qualifications Education BA/BS degree (Required)
Experience Minimum 8 years in pharmaceutical marketing, market research, or related fields.
Past roles in market research, analytics, sales forecasting, access and pricing, marketing, or competitive intelligence.
Skills & Knowledge Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, secondary data sets, epidemiology, and data analytics.
Strong storytelling ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Consulting skills with the ability to build trust and partnership across stakeholders.
Technical aptitude for current and innovative research techniques.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests from marketing and extended team members.
Effective communication and desire to lead change.
Strong leadership, decision‑making, courage, and collaboration skills.
Solid project management and ability to influence without authority.
Experience supporting transformation in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Knowledge Oncology experience (solid or hematologic cancers).
Launch excellence and early commercial development knowledge.
Familiarity with marketing strategy development.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $156,900 – $247,000.
Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
