Job Summary: This full-time, benefit‑based position supports both the ALSAM Bridging the Gap Support Fund Program and the Humanities Center. The incumbent conceptualizes, leads, and grows all non‑curriculum aspects of the Bridging the Gap program, coordinates day‑to‑day operations of the Humanities Center, and manages related budgets, communications, and outreach initiatives. The appointment is temporary with an anticipated end date of August 31, 2027, renewable at the discretion of the university based on performance and funding.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize, lead, and grow all non‑curriculum aspects of the Bridging the Gap program to align with the ALSAM Vision, including establishing a STEM faculty advisory board and coordinating with internal and external partners.
Serve as the ALSAM program leader, ensuring the long‑term growth and success of the initiative.
Design and spearhead new program initiatives, execute detailed logistics, and monitor metrics of participant and program success for annual reporting to the ALSAM Foundation.
Execute end‑to‑end program logistics and events, including meetings, space reservations, meals, transportation, and other accommodations, while maintaining budgetary adherence.
Use university expense processing systems such as Concur, Workday, UniMarket, and Internal Service Deliveries to order and track supplies and services following university procedures.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Humanities Center.
Coordinate activities related to the programs, including scheduling events and meetings and liaising with the College Dean’s office staff.
Support outreach efforts to increase program visibility through targeted outreach to high schools and community partners.
Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across communications and outreach efforts.
Represent the Humanities Center at events that may require flexible evening and weekend work.
Promote the program and center’s work by developing and distributing marketing and promotional materials across multiple platforms, including email, newsletters, social media, and print.
Maintain and update program websites and digital content.
Assist with technology required for events and meetings.
Manage day‑to‑day administrative or event tasks and provide front‑desk reception for the Humanities Center as needed.
Provide other duties as assigned.
Finance, Personnel, and Risk Management
Provide financial oversight, including reconciliation and reporting for program‑related funds.
Track program budgets and expenses to ensure alignment with allocated resources and produce clear financial reporting to the ALSAM Foundation annually.
Maintain accurate financial and administrative records in accordance with university guidelines.
Oversee hiring processes and personnel management for temporary employees and student workers.
Coordinate with Human Resources and Risk Management to ensure compliance, particularly for programs involving minors.
Special Conditions of Employment
Must be available to work occasional evenings (up to 8:30 pm) and rare weekends.
Background Check

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum two years of related experience, with at least one year in program coordination, event planning, and/or administrative roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred.
Previous experience managing budgets strongly preferred.
Two or more years of experience in program coordination, event planning, budget management, and/or administrative support preferred.
Prior experience in higher education and/or a non‑profit setting preferred.

Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new software.
Posting Salary
$5,858.67 to $6,034.43 per month.
