Grace Music Team Intern Job Description

This internship provides experience in musical worship for Grace Church, assisting in planning and leading worship across various events.
Responsibilities

Music Planning (when schedule allows)

Weekend services with music staff
Grace Students
Celebrate Recovery

Worship Leading

Communicate needed time off via direct communication with the team or blockout dates on Planning Center.
Lead worship on weekends, Grace Students sessions, and Celebrate Recovery as available or needed.

Research new worship songs and potential specials.
Volunteer Care

Engage with all volunteers and team members during service.

Track training

Song sessions
Weekend, Grace Students, and Celebrate Recovery tracking files.

Worship Event Preparation Training

Volunteer preparation: how to send parts emails for each weekend.
Update PCO with correct mp3s and chord charts.

Stage Preparation

Mix tracks in venue.
Tune drums.
Set up keyboard sounds.

Personal Preparation

Practice music and lyrics to proficiency and comfort for all events.
Memorize all parts by rehearsal time.

Measurable Goals

Lead worship in every venue (Weekend, Grace Students, Celebrate Recovery).
Be familiar with tracking.
Grow musical abilities.
Develop team leadership through experience as Music Director, Vocal Director, and Rehearsal Leader.
Position Requirements

Familiarity with leading music alongside a click track and backing tracks.
Basic knowledge of running a sound board.
Training on specific products used will be available.
Ability to lead a team well and play an instrument and/or sing.
Availability for mid‑week evenings and weekends as scheduled.
