Position Summary Position Summary — Plans, develops, refines, and implements targeted marketing initiatives/plans. Develops, writes, and produces final product communications and advertisements for internal and external delivery to various departments and/or external segments; develops effective procedures for defining and tracking established and potential markets; coordinates the development and administration of tracking systems; tracks impact to measure and modify. Coordinates marketing projects and collaborates across digital, web, social media, content and creative communications initiatives to support organizational goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Plans, develops, refines and implements targeted marketing initiatives/plans for internal and external delivery such as promotional events, publications, event publicity, recruitment and advertising campaigns; researches relevant issues, solicits input from appropriate sources, conducts analyses and proposes various solutions and initiatives designed to achieve targeted marketing objectives and goals while coordinating project timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communication. (can be external or across university campuses).
Develops, writes and produces final product communications and advertisements for internal and external delivery to various departments and/or external segments; develops effective procedures for defining and tracking established and potential markets; coordinates the development and administration of tracking systems; tracks impact to measure and modify across print, digital, web and social media channels.
Participates in the strategic planning, coordination and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives to increase visibility for departmental programs, faculty achievements, clinical services, research and educational missions. Collaborates across content, web, social media, design and multimedia efforts to support organizational goals.
Delivers communications and presentations as well as provides training/teaching to various groups and departments ensuring a consistent, effective message, including best approach for communicating message, including research findings to the media and best practices for digital communications platforms.
Serves as a liaison between the Department of Surgery, its divisions and sections, WashU Medicine marketing and communications teams, and other internal and external partners; facilitates communication, coordinates marketing initiatives and supports the successful execution of cross-functional projects and campaigns.

Salary & Benefits Grade — G11
Salary Range — $53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one\'s qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
