The Search Specialist will join the eCommerce Operations and Digital Marketing team, focusing on optimizing the internal search experience for the client’s B2B pharmaceutical eCommerce platform. Reporting to the Search Supervisor, this role is responsible for improving product discoverability, relevance, and conversion through data-driven search optimization. The specialist will manage and refine Coveo search rules, relevance models, and performance insights to deliver fast, accurate, and personalized search results for B2B customers.
Optimize search relevance rules, ranking logic, and ML models within the enterprise search engine (Coveo or similar) to improve search result quality and user experience.
Analyze internal search data to identify trends, gaps, and actionable opportunities for optimization.
Collaborate with Product, UX, Data Science, Sales, Content, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to align and refine search strategies.
Monitor and report on search performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement of search experience.
Support AI/ML-driven search tools, automation features, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Troubleshoot search issues and coordinate with technical teams for timely resolution.
Assist in search testing, QA, and validation during new feature releases and system updates.
Document search governance processes, operational workflows, and best practices.
Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure search optimization efforts are strictly focused on internal platform search (not external SEO/paid search or AI chatbot visibility).
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in search relevance management for B2B or B2C eCommerce platforms
Experience with enterprise search tools such as Coveo, Endeca, SOLR, Reflektion, or Sitecore preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret search data and translate insights into actionable improvements
Experience working with product discovery, merchandising, or eCommerce optimization is highly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional technical and business teams
