Job Description
KVDA Telemundo San Antonio is seeking a Multiplatform Producer to join our award‑winning team. The Multiplatform Producer will be responsible for the successful coordination and execution of a newscast and other special programs, and for delivering content across all platforms including apps, social media accounts and streaming channels. This role reports to the Executive Producer.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow all Telemundo San Antonio News and NBC standards and ethics.

Produce multiple newscast productions, content, and elements of the shows.

Serve as a strong communicator in the newsroom—engage with key stakeholders such as the VP of News, Executive Producer, Managing Editor, anchors, Digital, MMJs, and production crews.

Coordinate live shots and satellite remotes during live newscasts.

Select, assign, write, and organize news stories. Write news scripts, headlines, teases, and topicals.

Contribute story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions, and attend editorial meetings.

Design a newscast that accomplishes daily goals, selecting stories and understanding all elements.

Stay informed about daily news events and market news.

Respond to breaking news with urgency and accuracy.

Develop special projects involving community and social content.

Collaborate with Multimedia Journalists to improve story and presentation.

Work closely with the VP of News, Executive Producer, and Managing Editor on story/sweeps planning and coordination.

Complete discrepancy reports with detail and accuracy to prevent future problems and cue sheets.

Support talent with the creation of original digital content.

Contribute to the creation of video series for OTT, FAST, and all platforms.

Understand newscast mission, station priorities, and all platforms.

Lead by taking responsibility for own actions, taking risks for the team, and being a team player.

Be detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of handling intense deadline pressure.

Basic Qualifications

Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Minimum of 2 years of producer experience.

At least 1 year of experience writing and/or editing and/or producing daily video.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, media communication, or equivalent experience.

Must be available to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed or required.

Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work multiple shifts and willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays on short notice.

Must be able to carry or lift up to 25 lbs.
