Digital Communications Specialist - Middle Market
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work virtually and from our Hammonton, NJ offices. Although we would prefer candidates to work hybrid, we are willing to consider a virtual work arrangement for a strong candidate.

What the day will look like
Digital Communications Specialists develop digital benefits communications campaigns for clients’ annual benefits enrollment, new hire on-boarding support and beyond. Deliverables created are focused around digital channels focusing on the digital benefits hub webinar videos and more. A typical day includes 50% content development, 30% project management, and 20% client consulting. Responsibilities include:

Attend client meetings as needed and lead discussion on digital communications initiatives with a consultative approach, creating engagement strategies based on client’s needs

Build and update various benefit communication materials including digital benefits hubs, self-service promotional materials, webinar videos, and other materials as directed

Manage various projects from start to finish while coordinating deadlines and prioritizing tasks for multiple projects with short turnaround times

Prepare content, while being responsible for edit rounds and proofreading finalized materials

Provide product education and assist with special communications projects as needed

Assist in reviewing other materials and supporting colleagues as necessary

Continuously discover and implement new functions and industry best practices to maximize efficiency

Keep abreast of communication and benefit trends

Report on the effectiveness of digital employee communications campaigns for clients and provide strategic recommendations for optimization

Skills and experience that will lead to success

HR and or benefits content experience preferred

Three+ years professional communications, graphic design and/or UX experience (required)

Proficient with a variety of technical programs and software - including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Foleon or comparable no code website creator, and content management systems (ie: Wordpress). (required)

Experience with project managements systems (ie: Workfront, Sharepoint, Monday.com, etc)

Ability to organize and simultaneously handle multiple projects while working as an integral part of a team, cultivating relationships, and working independently or with minimal direction

Effective client service expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to think critically and work consultatively across departments and with clients

Experience delivering accurate, timely and engaging messages, through digital channels

Employee Communications, Communications Strategy, Internal Communications, Employee Engagement, Storytelling, Media Strategies, Content Creation, Business Communications, and Press Releases

Gains an accurate understanding of the project situation and quickly recognizes when additional information is required

Maintains the necessary foresight to identify potential complications and acts swiftly to avoid and/or resolve these issues

Project Management

Ability to manage a number of projects at the same time

Establishes priorities for multiple tasks/projects based on timeliness, importance, and urgency of project completion

Ensures that all work obstacles are addressed to minimize wasted time and able to reprioritize projects as required

Accepts the delegation of responsibilities from management team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of client materials

Peer Review

All edits to any of the communications materials must be peer reviewed by another colleague to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting before sending back to the client team

Teamwork

Understands and values all roles and functions needed in order to complete client projects

Responds quickly to requests from Clients and other team members and assists when urgent or special circumstances arise

Communicates with team on a regular basis (via phone, email, and/or IM) to ensure expectations are aligned, transitions of work are smooth, and project completion is timely

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or a related major (required)

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $55,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
