Audiovisual Technician

Our client, a leading organization in archival and preservation services, is seeking an Audiovisual Technician to join their team. As an Audiovisual Technician, you will be part of the Corporate Archives / Heritage team supporting the long-term digitization and preservation of valuable audiovisual materials. The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to project management.
What's the Job?

Survey, inventory, and digitize large volumes of analog audiovisual materials such as VHS, Betacam, reel-to-reel, etc.
Develop and implement strategies for content preservation, accessibility, and usability
Operate and maintain analog AV formats and digitization equipment with precision
Collaborate with team members to prioritize and manage digitization projects effectively
Utilize digital asset management systems to catalog and organize digital content
What's Needed?

Hands-on experience with analog AV formats and digitization processes
Strong understanding of preservation best practices for audiovisual materials
Ability to operate as a subject matter expert in AV formats and digitization techniques
Project management and time management skills to handle multiple tasks independently
Experience working with digital asset management systems such as Primo or similar tools
