The Director of Business Development is responsible for directing the development and continuous refinement of the facility’s business development plan, designing and implementing strategic goals, policies, and procedures, and overseeing the marketing department and its budget.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and continuous refinement of the facility’s business development plan.
- Design, develop, implement, and direct the business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems for the department and facility.
- Directly supervise the Marketing Representatives, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
- Grow the hospital’s business by managing all marketing efforts, including advertising, public relations, research, and referral development.
- Manage the marketing department budget and coordinate/develop hospital-based workshops and other events.
- Gather, analyze, and report data related to marketing efforts and manage the hospital marketing team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, marketing, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare business development with measurable results and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Direct experience developing or managing care agreements, especially with capitation and at-risk arrangements.
- Detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles.
- Valid driver’s license.
