Position Summary The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving brand awareness, guest engagement, and local store traffic for the Simplevenue restaurant group, including Sushi by Bou, Omakaseed, Wagyu Room and Sushi Suite. Responsibilities include managing email, SMS, and communication calendars from strategy and planning through copywriting, design coordination, and campaign deployment across platforms. The position also leads influencer partnership management, oversees print production for menus and in-restaurant collateral, supports local store marketing strategy, maintains website content and updates, manages third-party listings and digital presence, and assists with additional cross-functional marketing and departmental projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities Communication Strategy Manage email, SMS and push notification messaging, from strategy and planning through copywriting and campaign deployment across multiple platforms
Adapt and convey the brand voice to ensure consistency in messaging
Manage company communications for internal newsletters, new promotions and other key messages to corporate and restaurant staff
Influencer Partnerships Develop and maintain a successful influencer program, working closely with the reservations and operations teams
Utilize data-driven insights to identify and vet influencers based on reach, engagement, audience fit, and brand alignment
Develop and communicate campaign briefs, including deliverables and expectations
Oversee campaign timelines, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with marketing calendars and initiatives
Foster long-term relationships with influencers to drive sustained engagement
Oversee content usage strategy, including leveraging UGC and optimizing assets for paid and organic distribution
Stay updated on influencer marketing trends, emerging platforms, and industry best practices
Website & Third-Party Listings Oversee website updates across the Simplevenue restaurant portfolio, including developing new landing pages, adding new location pages, and other minor content updates as needed
Manage support ticket system with website provider for troubleshooting and larger development needs
Manage third-party listings like Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc. to ensure hours and information is maintained and updated accurately
Loyalty & Guest Nurturing Assist with implementation of loyalty program campaigns, from welcome journeys and winback campaigns to surprise and delight offers and other marketing calendar milestones
Assist with implementation of OpenTable marketing campaigns, from birthday and anniversary rewards to winback and high-value guest campaigns
Local Store Marketing Manage printing and fulfillment process for all in-restaurant requests, including NSO signage, promotional signage, business cards, swag items, etc.
Collaborate with restaurant managers to plan and execute local marketing initiatives, events, sponsorships, and promotions
Support new store openings with neighborhood outreach, local business relationships, community events, etc.
Develop localized campaigns to drive traffic, increase community engagement, and support sales goals.
Serve as a point of contact for store-level marketing needs and provide guidance on brand standards.
General Brand Marketing Support Assist with proofing creative for spelling and grammar, design and overall brand guidelines
Assist in the execution of brand-wide campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Culinary, and HR to ensure alignment.
Contribute to the development of marketing strategy and campaign planning.
Assist with managing photographer and videographer portfolio and requests as needed
Manage the marketing shared drive to ensure streamlined organization of all files, documents and processes
Assist the Director of Marketing with tasks as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3 years of marketing experience in the restaurant, retail, hospitality, or consumer brand industry
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar design tools
Experience with CRM and loyalty program management
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics
Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, primarily remote environment, with the occasional need for in-person travel and meetings
Photography/videography skills are a plus
Compensation & Benefits Salary starting at $65,000 dependent on experience
