Payroll Officer (Part-Time, Remote)
Del E. Webb Construction Company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time remote basis. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates looking to develop their payroll and administrative skills while supporting the payroll operations of a well-established construction company.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for assisting with employee payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, verifying timesheets, tracking employee compensation, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration. The successful candidate will work closely with management and staff to support day-to-day payroll functions and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
Compensation
Pay Rate: $30.00-40.00 per hour
This is a part-time remote position. Compensation is paid hourly, with opportunities for professional development and career growth based on performance.
Training Program
All new hires will participate in a comprehensive one-week remote training program designed to provide the knowledge, tools, and support needed to succeed in the role. Training will cover company procedures, payroll processes, software systems, and job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing and employee payment records
- Review and verify employee timesheets and attendance records
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and reports
- Support payroll recordkeeping and data entry
- Help resolve payroll-related inquiries
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure payroll accuracy
- Ensure confidentiality of employee and payroll information
Requirements
- Basic understanding of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness to complete the one-week training program
