Role Description
This full‑time, on‑site Sales Design Consultant role is based in Overland Park, KS. The Sales Design Consultant will welcome customers to the showroom, actively listen to their needs, and guide them through furniture and mattress selections that fit their style, budget, and space. Daily responsibilities include creating room layouts and design concepts, recommending coordinating furnishings and finishes, and explaining product features, warranties, and care instructions. The role also involves preparing quotes, processing sales transactions, following up with customers, and maintaining a visually appealing showroom. The Sales Design Consultant collaborates with team members to meet sales goals, stay current on product lines and design trends, and ensure a smooth, positive customer experience from first contact through delivery.

Qualifications

Strong customer‑facing skills, including Customer Service and relationship‑building abilities.

Proven aptitude in Sales, with comfort meeting goals and guiding customers through purchase decisions.

Knowledge or experience in Interior Design, including space planning and coordinating styles, colors, and textures.

Familiarity with Furniture and Furnishings, including materials, construction, and product features.

Excellent communication, active listening, and presentation skills.

Ability to work on‑site, including evenings and weekends, as needed for retail hours.

Basic computer proficiency; experience with POS systems or design tools is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or experience in design, sales, or retail is beneficial.
