What To Expect
Megafactory Texas is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support, and manage a team of technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The team will be responsible for low volume equipment/process design and implementation as well as supporting transition from low volume to high volume production which includes line and equipment integration, commissioning and production buy-offs. This leader will build a team that can work closely with a motivated and talented cross functional team on multiple projects to support smooth launch and ramp of Megafactory Texas.
What You'll Do
Align projects to drive department goals by managing operations and driving metrics in critical areas of the Manufacturing floor. Work with engineering and production team, understand the product, process, quality control plan
Lead process technicians and production team on process issues analysis and problem solving. Monitor, manage and countermeasure MMS and WIP accumulations. Monitor defect trends and escalation to responsible engineering, quality, and production teams
Disposition of special case non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line. Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking
Manage repairs/troubleshooting exactly to instructed process and ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire rework process and support no defects escaping the NCM area
Ensure processes provide a high level of safety and ergonomic compliance. Support training and coaching of process technicians and associates. Optimize labor utilization, reduce waste, and reduce variability
Management of team includes proactively planning for labor needs in light of production ramp up, communicating job expectations, performing employee performance and objectives reviews, and managing team in alignment of company policies and procedures. Set up work plan and priorities to the team based on business plan and needs
Responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations
What You'll Bring
Experience in leadership, lean manufacturing methodologies, organization and record-keeping skills, with strong attention to detail to maintain team accountability. Experience 3–5+ years leading technicians in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive/high-volume production
Demonstrates adherence to EHS regulations and standards and leads by example
Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for both learning systems quickly and teaching them to others. Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills and interface with executives and leaders daily
Enthusiastic, innovative, and take-charge attitude. This candidate can work independently and set the team’s priorities based on competing and urgent business needs
Strong analytical capability and familiarity with analytical and statistical software systems. Data collection and analysis experience. Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs). Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for both learning systems quickly and teaching them to others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in presenting to upper management
