$82,500-$120,000/yr
Job type:
Full Time

About the Role
Scribd is looking for a Social & Community Brand Manager to build and steward our brand presence where our readers, listeners, and learners actually spend their time—in comment sections, subreddits, and video feeds. This role owns day‑to‑day execution of our social and community presence, starting with YouTube and Reddit, and grows to broader brand campaign support over time.

What You'll Do

Channel Ownership

Own Scribd’s presence on social media (YouTube and Reddit) requiring consistency and genuine intent.

On Reddit, drive thoughtful, value‑driven participation across priority subreddits to earn credibility over time.

On YouTube, manage the full content lifecycle—scheduling, publishing, optimization, and comment moderation.

Identify content gaps, surface emerging conversations, and flag what’s worth responding to.

Proactively pitch content ideas that could perform well across all platforms.

Social Listening & Audience Intelligence

Monitor Scribd’s social and community footprint and broader conversations using listening tools and manual workflows, while tracking sentiment.

Translate insights into actionable recommendations for brand marketing campaigns.

Help inform messaging evolution, content pillars, and campaign direction.

Campaign Support & Coordination

Support rollout of brand initiatives across social and community channels.

Build and maintain publishing calendars and execution timelines.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure message consistency.

Take on a more active role in integrated campaign execution as the role evolves beyond social.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

Build and maintain dashboards in Sprout Social across YouTube, Reddit, and other channels.

Track engagement, retention, sentiment, and brand health signals.

Deliver weekly and monthly reports with clear insights and optimization recommendations.

Run small tests and experiments to improve performance and flag success signals.

Who You Are

3–5 years of experience in social media and community management.

Deep familiarity with YouTube best practices and analytics.

Understanding of Reddit culture; authenticity is essential.

Proficient in Sprout Social or a comparable platform.

Comfortable moving between quantitative data and qualitative signal.

Highly organized and execution‑oriented.

Experience with paid social—boosting content, supporting campaign media plans, or coordinating with a paid team.

Bonus: exposure to integrated campaign work such as launches, cross‑channel rollouts, or creative briefs.

Bonus: experience in education or working with educator, academic, or student communities.

Compensation & Benefits
Base pay varies by location; ranges are generally as follows: California $82,500–$120,000; other U.S. markets $67,500–$112,000; Canada $86,000–$105,000 CAD. The role is eligible for competitive equity ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.
