Production Technician

Pay Rate:

$23.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday - 6:30AM : 3:00PM

Summary:
Responsible for assembling, fitting, and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
Responsibilities:

Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection using established procedures and equipment.
Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications based on electrical drawings and schematics.
Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards and ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
Use various tools, such as wire strippers and pliers, for electrical wiring assembly.
Maintain progress of jobs and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.
Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.
Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 5S guidelines.
Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.
Requirements:

Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role with hand and/or power tools.
Ability to interact and contribute in a small team environment and flex according to production demands.
Ability to lift 35lbs. on a regular basis.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
Effective communication skills in all written and verbal formats.
Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
Awareness of health and safety practices and active participation in training.
Preferred Skills:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related fields.
Experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow.
Proficiency with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.
Experience using manual/electric tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, and other equipment.
